Professor Zongwu Cai, Professor of Department of Economics, University of Kansas and WISE, Xiamen University delivered a lecture in CER based on his working paper “A New Semiparametric Quantile Panel Data Model with Estimating the Growth Effect of FDI”on Jan. 3, 2014. Professor Shaoan Huang, dean of CER hosted the lecture. Professor Cai introduced a new econometric method to discuss the relationship between FDI and economic growth, which is highly creative and interesting. Both young teachers and students shared their questions and ideas on the topic, and Professor Cai answered the questions and gave his suggestions on further research.
